This listing is for the VP11-BK Steel Billet Performance Camshaft for all BMC B-Series engines.
'B' Series, 1500, 1600, 1622, 1800 Tach Drive Gear is there if you need to drive a mechanicle tachometer.
This is Advanced Performance Technology's (APT) most popular cam. This cam will pull hard from 1900 RPM and go as high as 6000 if required.
The base core we start with is an induction hardened steel billet. Pressure fed oil to the pump/distributor drive gear to reduce wear. (See photo's)

This cam has been dyno tested in several different specifications of engine from 1500 to 1950cc
Normally driving RPM band would be 2300 to 4500 This band is suited to the torque and horse power characteristics of the design of the cam.
APT designs are all done "in house" and the masters that dictate the cam lobe while being ground are precision ground on a CNC Landis grinder.
APT super duty cam followers are highly recommended for this application, part number CF-04
